Chamber to hold culinary exhibit during trade expo
(Sun.Star Davao, 03 October 2008) FOR the first time, the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) will hold a culinary exhibit to be participated in by different schools in Davao Region during the staging of the three-day Davao Trade Expo (Date) 2008 at the Davao Convention and Trade Center on October 23 to 25, 2008.
Myrna Valdez, Events and Program Chair of
the Date 2008, said Tuesday that the exhibit would jumpstart awareness
for export and trade.
She said this is one of the side-events that make this year's Date different from the past years.
"We want people to be more aware by showcasing the different culinary schools," she said.
Valdez added that aside from the culinary exhibit, DCCCII also invited Davao's local bands to showcase their talents.
Date 2008 is now on its 10th year of continuously giving various
agencies, companies, local government units, businessmen and
entrepreneurs a venue to offer and introduce their new products and
services.
It also provides opportunities to industries to be matched with other sectors.
This year, Valdez revealed that there would be special areas for
organic products where ten companies from the Davao Region will be
participating.
"Aside from this, there will also be areas for the different LGUs,
not only from Davao Region, but also from the neighboring Davao
provinces to showcase their products," Valdez said. (JGRS)
