Chamber to induct new set of officers
A new set of Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII) officers will be inducted to office come January 30, 2009 during the 41st Annual Installation of Officers and Trustees. Induction will be held at the Grand Ballroom of The Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City,

national and local government and dignitaries are expected to grace
the event and will be a welcoming opportunity for them to be acquainted
with the new set of officers.
Former Ambassador and current Chairman of the Yuchengco Group of Companies Mr. Alfonso T. Yuchengco is the Guest of Honor and Inducting Officer during the said annual installation. Ambassador Yuchengco is a prominent industrialist, certified public accountant, educator and diplomat in the Philippines. He heads the Yuchengco Group of Companies, one of the largest family-owned business conglomerates in the Philippines. He is also the Chairman of Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, one of the largest commercial banks in the Philippines. Ambassador Yuchengco is the Chairman of the Mapua Institute of Technology, a leading engineering school in the country.
DCCCII President Simeon P. Marfori II will deliver the thrust and programs of the chamber this year, aptly themed as “Building the future”. The Davao business community still remains positive that the Philippine economy will keep afloat amidst the global financial crisis. The challenge now lies in creating innovations at this difficult time which should be a basic foundation of building the future
