This program is designed to prepare participants in handling the unique challenges of managing family-owned businesses. This will include a whole range of family firm issues such as: ownership legace, professionalizing, succession, governance and management of the family business.

Objectives

A successful participant will:

1. Understand the factors that affect family dynamics and how family members interact with each 
     other;

2. Develop a working knowledge on how to address concerns in the relational dynamics,
     management and governance of family firms;

3. See the potential conflict areas in a family business and appreciate the value of a governing
     document that is collectively crafted by the family;

4. Lead the different components that are important for the healthy growth of the family business.


Resource Persons

1. Mr. Ricardo Mercado

     * He was behind the phenomenal growth of a family-owned business enterprise that has
        extended its operations to the US in the '90s. He has been teaching Family Business 
        Management in Ateneo de Manila University for over 12 years and has done several
        research on Family Business.

2. Prof. Ma. Theresa Galura
     * She co-chairs the university-based Ateneo Family Business Development Center. She has
        had over 20 years experience in family business and family business consulting. Being a
        practicing family business owner herself and a second-generation successor, Prof. Galura  |
        brings in her depth of expertise to her family business consultancy as well as her academic
        engagement in Ateneo.

Registration Fee:               Php 3,500.00
Family Package rate:       Php 3,000.00 (minimum of 3 members)

* Inclusive of tuition, training kit, lunch, AM/PM snacks and certificate of course completion.
