In 1959, Luis C. Diaz organized and founded what was to become one of the leading all Filipino auditing firms in the country - L.C. Diaz and Associates.

A year later, after an eight-month stint as an Eisenhower Fellow, Diaz was introduced by a trustee of the fellowship to the partners of wolf and Co. This was the first multinational auditing firm to extend an invitation of affiliation with the Company.

And as the list of the Firm's clients grew, it was impelled to embark on a countrywide expansion program.  Branches in Davao were established as well as in Bacolod where the number of agriculture, lumber and mining clients was steadily increasing.

In the mid-sixties, the Management Services Division was put up as another servicing arm, to further assist the firm's clients in the many functions of Management Planning and Control.

to keep up with the increasing clientele and services, L.C. Diaz and associates added new partners and changed its name to L.C. Diaz and Co. in 1970.

In the 80's, a branch in commercially thriving Cebu was formed despite the many political and economic setback of that era.  During this on-going expansion.  Touche ross International (TRI), multinational auditing firm, offered membership status.  Soon, after the usual deliberation and quality review, L.C. Diaz and Co. became a member of TRI (later became Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu International).

In 1993, the firm's name was again changed to DIAZ MURILLO DALUPAN.

In 1999, in time with the celebration of their 40th anniversary, DMD takes pride as being a fully Filipino firm  offering a full range of audit, accounting, tax and management consultancy services.

Having disaffiliated with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu International (DTTI), DMD have even strengthened its commitment to develop the skills of filipino professionals who are already at par with the world's best.
